EUDR applies to large and medium operators from 30 December 2026 — and to micro and small furniture importers from the same date, because the general deferral to 30 June 2027 excludes products already covered by the EU Timber Regulation, wooden furniture among them. If a supplier's timber turns out to be unevidenced, the remedy is a different supplier or a different timber source — and that is a production-cycle decision, not a paperwork one.

What this is, and what it is not
We are an independent inspection firm, paid by buyers and never by factories. An evidence file assembled by someone the factory pays is not evidence — which is the whole reason this service exists.

EUDR evidence review — FAQ
What if my supplier can't produce plot coordinates?
That is the common outcome on first review, and it is exactly what you need to know. Much Indian hardwood reaches the factory through timber yards rather than direct from a plantation, so the chain often stops at a purchase record. We document how far it goes, state where it breaks, and set out what would be needed to close the gap — so you can decide whether to work on the chain or change the source.
Can you do this alongside a pre-shipment inspection?
Yes, and it is usually cheaper that way. If we are already attending the factory for a PSI or during-production inspection, the documentation audit can run on the same visit. Tell us at scoping and we will price it combined.
Is one review enough, or is this ongoing?
Depends on your buying pattern. A single supplier with stable sourcing may need one thorough review plus periodic refresh. If you are shipping continuously from several factories with mixed timber lots, batch linkage has to be maintained per shipment — that is what the programme level covers.
Does this replace supplier verification?
No, it sits on top of it. Supplier verification establishes whether you are dealing with a real manufacturer. The evidence review establishes whether the timber behind that manufacturer can be documented. If you are onboarding a new supplier, run verification first.
Who signs the report?
The inspector who did the work. Not a company stamp, and not an anonymous freelancer — the same person walks you through the gap register on the debrief call.
