Why a first order carries every risk at once
A first order with a new factory is the one order where you have no history to lean on. You have not seen how they dry wood, hold a dimension or match a finish; you have not confirmed that the company that quoted you is the company that builds; and you have no golden sample from a previous run to inspect against. Every later order borrows confidence from the first. The Shield exists because that first order is where a buyer is most exposed and least protected — and where a single skipped check can turn a deposit into a loss.

An unannounced premises visit confirms the company you are about to wire money to actually manufactures your product, rather than fronting someone else’s factory.
2 · During-Production Inspection — at 20–50%
Core moisture, first-off dimensions and finish are read while the run can still be corrected, not merely reported on.
3 · Pre-Shipment Inspection — before the balance
Sampling on the finished, packed goods against your spec and golden sample, with a pass or fail result before you release the balance payment.

The three services are booked as one engagement at $649 — below their separate prices — and coordinated by a single inspector who carries your order from the verification visit through to the container. The sequence is the point: each stage de-risks the next, so a problem is found at the cheapest possible moment to fix it. The Shield also comes with the contract language that makes it work — a deposit released only after verification passes, and the balance payable only against a passed pre-shipment report.
