What to check on a project order

Spec checks
Dimensions, finish, hardware and labels checked line by line against the schedule.
Contract-grade strength
Contract seating and tables have their own EN standards. Name them, with the edition, in the specification.
Finish across vendors
Pieces from several workshops drift in colour and size unless every batch is held to one sample.
Leather seating
Leather grade, hide marks and colour matching between hides, checked before the covers go on.
Stone-top tables
Stone tops crack and chip; agree the stone, the base and the crate before production.
Tall storage
Units that tip with drawers open are a critical defect. Supply a wall fixing for tall pieces.
